It's been about seven years since I have posted. I have been thinking about the things I have made, but haven't posted about. there have been many changes in my life in those seven years. I lost my parents, nieces and nephews having children. The loss of  my wonderful little girl Sadie who is on this blog page and her little sister whom I should post a picture of. Said girl, Abella is now 13 years old and has been quite a little clinger since we lost Sadie. I have had a few health ups and downs to struggle with and am moving toward a vegan diet. Not giving up my wool though, lol.

I am very fortunate to have good friends and family, as well as my little Abella.

I'm working on a few projects and will take some pictures to post here. I designed a crocheted cowl for the last shop hop. I want to use my creativity more.

Restarting this blog will be an adventure that I am looking forward to.

Happy stitching trails.

Make the best of your days and carry on.

I have been keeping "Let go and let the Universe have it" on my mind.

Last Tuesday I went to the yarn shop to begin winding the yarn for my healing project. Not so healing. The skein was a challenge, someone thought it had been wound by a winged monkey. It had many issues.
I needed help and received it, thank goodness. I wound while someone else held the yarn, it became an opportunity for letting go and cooperation. I took it as a lesson and perhaps some healing and let it go with that. I decided not to challenge myself with the second skein that day.
I believe in owning my failures, doing for myself as much as possible, sometimes we need to ask for help, keep moving, keep going to pool therapy, keep trying to improve myself. When I don't hit the mark, don't beat myself up so much.
One thing I am finding harder to let go is with my name. As a child I was called Sandy, as an adult I introduce myself as Sandra. Lately I find it harder to ignore when People shorten it. I let it go for a long time, now I'm not, especially with people that. My name is about me; I introduce myself as Sandra and want to be called Sandra. I'm the one that survived the childhood and the BS. I realize this is important to me. I survived, stood my ground and walked away when I needed to, my name is about me.

Sometimes I think about serenity, letting go and what hill I need to make a stand on. and if people have paid attention, they have seen me letting go. Walking away from wanting others to be clear and not erupt with half truths to suit their needs.

My hills are having more meaning, more substance.Keep taking deep breaths in life, that's what I remind myself to do.
Life is chaos out of control and I am helpless until I find the wisdom to know what I can change, what has the most meaning.

Life can be good, I'm keeping focused on making it better.

Good Morning!

I hope this morning finds you well on this second day of February. We have six weeks until spring and I am looking forward to the warmer weather, as everyone else probably is.

I have been battling a bout of Neuropathy that does not have a specific reason for existing, at least the battery of tests did not come up with one. I'm optimistic about being nearer to the top of the hill in this battle, but it may be ongoing. I have gone from barely being able to walk, to using a cane, that I am now able to take a few steps without now and then. Pool therapy has been the only thing to really help me make progress and I am determined to continue progress.
I am cutting back on carbs this year, making a gradual move to cutting them out. I am trying to make the change in a way that I hope I will be able to stay with it. Once I can stand for more than ten minutes without too much pain, and am able to walk through a store more than once without pain that takes me off my feet, I hope to try increasing that walking. The Neurologist hasn't been keen on adding that on top of pool therapy, but I am hoping to get a green light at my next visit.

I just received all of my HOLT award books to read for the next month or two and I will be diving into them this week and giving feedback.

In my knitting world, I made several projects for Christmas and just in general. Since I entered the Fair Isle men's underwear in the fair last year I have been planning a women's pair, they are both destined for framing and hanging in my bathroom. I received a second place prize on the garment, it was called a staff favorite at the fair, and one of my friends said it was talked about at the Stockinette Zombie Retreat this past year.
I am starting the womens pair this week, hope to have them finished soon.

Here a re a few photos of some of my projects this past year.

The Purple silk Poncho for Jessica
 Men's Fair Isle undergarment
 Tyler's Death star hat
Aviator hat for shop

These are just a few photos, many of my pictures are not on the computer.

I finished a cotton Cardigan for my self and a baby sweater for a niece this week, but no photos yet.

I will post more pictures as I get them uploaded.

Our knitting groups annual knitting retreat is not going to happen this spring, we are working on something for the fall at a new venue and we are excited about the possibilities of this change. More on that latere as well.

For now, keep those needles clicking and Happy Stitching Trails!

GATOR BAIT is here!!!!!! The fifth book in the hilarious Miss Fortune series.

Things are starting to look up for Fortune Redding. Even though her life was at stake, the CIA assassin had balked at taking on a new identity in Sinful, Louisiana. But instead of hating it like she’d thought she would, Fortune now has friends she cares about and just finished up an incredible first date with the sexiest deputy in the state. Sure, there’s been a murder or two that she’s gotten mixed up in since she arrived in town, but she’s hoping all of that is behind her.

But when someone almost kills Deputy Carter LeBlanc, Fortune tosses her dreams of peace and quiet into the muddy bayou and shifts back into being the deadly trained professional that she is. With the help of Ida Belle and Gertie, Fortune launches a manhunt, intending to find a killer before he tries again.

New Jana DeLeon book, third in the series

I have found and read everything I could from this author and Grab up every new book that she puts out; they are hilarious. I wanted to share her with you, as everyone seems to like her humor, although humor can be subjective.
Must read, funny mystery series. Fortune and her friends could change your out look on a few things like; old age, pie, life in general, and leave you laughing like crazy.
